I am amused at how lightly people from cultures other than my own -- especially angloparlants -- use the term "art". For me, Art is like History: something big and abstract. At times, even distant. What I do -- well, I call them "designs", because that is what technically they are. Doodles, would be more accurate, some times.
Besides, there is a lot of crap out there. I'm not saying that mine is any better, mind you -- but I don't claim it to be "art". They're just doodles, drawings, designs I made. I've seen people call themselves "artists" and I still think that such one is too high a claim, for any of us. It should be people, and time, the ones who decide what is art, and what is not.

I've wanted it for a while too. I may just end up doing a homemade version of it, or submitting it to some printing service for people to order copies.
Thank you for your comment and the compliment, by the way!
True, there are too many people who label themselves artists these days, which, unfortunately, reduces the prestige associated with the title. Oh, and I love the splatter design on the shirt, by the way.
I think that part of the problem is that in english, the term is used liberally to describe anyone who draws or designs or paints or does something of the sorts. So everyone preparing textures or designing is a 'graphic artist', while they could call themselves 'designers', or something equally (more) descriptive.
Hehe, I was thinking along those same lines about some people.. Everyone's an artist nowadays... I got called 'artist' and people won't get that I'm only playing when I'm taking photos, nothing else. Oh well. You inkblot thing is interesting, though
Come to think on it: since it is a simulated inkblot (it's done with vector graphics), and traditionally art has been a representation of reality -- does that mean that this inkblot is, indeed, art?
100% agree, almost every time I'm an operator, not an artist.
I wan this T-Shirt!
(great job BTW ^_^)
